Equity Law Costing is experienced in all aspects of civil legal
costs. Bills of costs are prepared at an agreed rate,
usually 6% of profit costs as drawn. All other work is
charged at an expense rate of between £130.00 and £150.00
per hour depending on the complexity of the matter.
We provide the following services:
Comprehensive Costs Recovery Service
We are all too aware that with a high volume case load
and limited working hours in the day, it is not cost
effective for fee earners to be heavily involved in the
costs recovery procedure.
We therefore offer a complete costs recovery service,
reducing individual fee earners involvement to a minimum.
Once the Bill of costs/Claim for costs has been signed we
will undertake the costs recovery procedure reducing the fee
earners' involvement to approving negotiation and settlement
figures. If settlement cannot be achieved we will undertake
all responsibilities in relation to the issue of
proceedings, liaison with the Court and attendance at
hearings.
This service is available in relation to all civil matters
be it privately funded or under CFA's or LSC funding.
Reports of progress are provided at agreed intervals and we
are of course happy to discuss any aspects in person.
